District 8 President Trula Missey became a member of the VFW Auxiliary around 2012, eligible thanks to her father's service in World War II. She is a member of the VFW Auxiliary to Post 6883 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, where she resides.

Her favorite role has been serving as District 8 President. In this position, she finds fulfillment in both helping and learning from the other Auxiliaries. The members possess a wealth of knowledge that she finds invaluable. In addition to her time as President, she also enjoyed serving as Secretary.

 

When she has free time, she enjoys crafting, admitting that she watches perhaps too many DIY videos! However, her grandchildren are her top priority. They love to cook and craft together, and she spends as much time with them as she can.
