Danetta Wakefield

Danetta Wakefield of Monett, Missouri represents Missouri and Illinois on the National Council of Administration, which governs the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States Auxiliary between National Conventions.

A Life Member of Tom Wolfe Memorial Auxiliary 4207 in Monett, Missouri, she joined in 1988 on the eligibility of her brother Donnie, who served in the Army and participated in Operation Earnest Will and Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

Danetta has served the organization in many capacities, including as Auxiliary, District, and Department (state) Guard, Conductor, Chaplain and President. Before joining the Auxiliary, she worked as a bartender at the VFW and volunteered with various programs.

Danetta is retired and worked as a Certified Dietary Manager. She enjoys playing board games and card games, listening to music, crocheting, knitting and artistically painting her nails.
 
Danetta is widowed and has two daughters, one stepdaughter, three stepsons, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is a member of Cache Creek Cowboy Church.
