MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

Membership in the VFW Auxiliary is a powerful way to honor and support America’s veterans through dedicated programs that deliver essential services, vital information, and direct assistance to service members, veterans, and their families. Every dollar of your membership dues directly sustains the Auxiliary’s founding objectives: standing alongside the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving the military community, and actively spreading patriotism nationwide.

When you join our mission to make a meaningful difference, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Support veterans, service members, and their families.
  • Develop valuable new professional and personal skills.
  • Network and build lifelong friendships with like-minded members.
  • Enjoy exclusive, money-saving member benefits.

To become a member, you must be at least 16 years old and a qualifying relative of an individual who is or was eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. A veteran qualifies for the VFW if they meet any of the following service criteria:
  • Received an official campaign medal for overseas service.
  • Served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea.
  • Earned hostile fire or imminent danger pay during their military service.

With more than 100 active Auxiliaries across Missouri, finding a welcoming chapter in your area is simple. To get started, you can use the online locator tool to find a nearby chapter and submit your completed membership application, annual dues payment, and official proof of eligibility (which is only required if your qualifying veteran is not already a member of that specific VFW Post). Because annual dues rates vary by location, the local chapter will provide specific details before reviewing your documentation and voting to officially welcome you into the Auxiliary.
