The VFW Auxiliary Historian and Media Relations program is dedicated to both preserving the organization’s legacy and amplifying its current impact within the community. By documenting the activities and milestones of the Auxiliary, the program ensures that the stories of service and volunteerism are accurately recorded for future generations. 

The program includes recognizing those who help share the organization's narrative by presenting the VFW Auxiliary Communications Award to local media outlets for their outstanding coverage of VFW programs. This certificate serves as an appreciation award for media partners who provide, share, or publish stories highlighting the lives of veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
